Was the
farthest away from my children for a weekend. I'll admit I was
nervous getting on that plane. So much more at stake when you leave babies at home. I did have a great time with my girls. Our chapter was awarded the 3 Star Standards of Excellence Award, the highest honor for a chapter of Sigma Kappa Sorority. It was so refreshing to reconnect with sisters. It was nice to only have to worry about packing, bathing, dressing and feeding myself for a weekend.
But by the end, I definitely caught myself staring at other moms and dads with their children and longing for my own.
After a nightmare of a delayed flight home, I was greeted by my family --
Millie, Daddy and Brother, hand in hand running toward me among the overgrown blades of grass with a handmade card and plenty of "Mommmmmy!" I'll always remember that image ...
