Play Ball!

My little guy is registered for wee ball! Can you believe it's that time already? I'll admit I've dreamed about it for a long time. Pregnant, I dreamed of a little dark-haired boy in a too big ball hat and jersey. At the time, I thought if they went with first names on their little jerseys, his would say "Eli." How cute would it be to say, "Hit the ball, Eli" "Run, Eli!" "Yay, Eli!"? Ha, Brother has been many things, but he is finally "Abram" and will most likely be "Abe" on the ball field.
Daddy's got a lot of work ahead of him this spring. He was so excited, though. He went straight to Academy and bought a tee and balls and bat. We left the glove for The Special Visit with Brother. Every little boy should be with his daddy to pick out his first ball glove.
Looking forward to the season!

wow he looks so big...I have a couple of pictures of him from Grace's party on my blog. He is sooo adorable! I hate it that Amelia did not feel well and that we missed you both. Hope she is feeling better. Take care and Good Luck this wee ball season.

We had our first team meeting of the season last Thursday night. This is Carson's second year (we started him at 2 1/2 years - Shane's obsessed!) and his team this year is the RANGERS (I'm secretly thrilled!!)

Carson was way too young last year because he spent most of the time running the bases and kicking dirt but Shane worked with him over the year and he has this little guy hitting the ball when its tossed to him.

You'll love the practices, games and meeting other parents too. I was 'DUG OUT MOM' for many games last season and I'm looking forward to that again this season.

Don't forget to order a team shirt with "Abe's Mom" printed on the back. This year I might even get a button (te he he...such a proud momma!)

Wished we could have seen you and Millie Bug Saturday. I had a good time catching up with Eric and boy is Brother a little ladies man. That hair and smile of his is too cute not to swoon over!

Miss you guys!
